Plate Loaded Combo Leg Ext/Curl, Bi/Tri Machine

Roadmap

This piece looks like it has ridiculous potential. I noticed the cable cam near the loading pin, is that to create an even strength curve? Would love a piece that hits a solid strength curve, especially with leg extensions where I literally want that padded arm pushing my feat WAY the hell back! Ever tried a 1st gen nautilus leg ext? I want my legs being pulled that far back with tension...please.

Hello,

Here is my hot take on leg curl/ext machines - Whether you have it plate or stack loaded, the longer lasting machine will be CENTER loaded. Think about the quad extension machine you've used at a commercial gym. Is the arm where push through your legs bent? Yes, it is bent. Because it's SIDE loaded (I'm not an engineer and realize there are more technical names). That being said, the side loaded machine will eventually, in a sense, "wear out", whereas a center loaded machine should not wear out over time.

This thought process could also be applied to making a bi/tri machine too.

Just my two cents.

Thanks,

Jared

Thanks for your post. Yes, the cam is there to create an even strength curve. In the first round of testing this worked really well and allowed for a nice deep stretch. Just a bit more tweaking left to do to make it more user friendly. Stay tuned!
